  Went shopping this afternoon from Vancouver BC, but did not find anything worthwhile at the Blaine Cost Cutter store except some cheese and poultry. I was however taken by the "Special Priced" T Bone steaks. When I arrived back home and opened the package the steaks smelled as if they were on a "Special" because the "Best Before Date" run out a long time ago.... My last visit to this store! I just read down the lines and realized that others had the same horrible experience. I wish I would have read their blogs to prevent the possibility of contracting a "un-healthy" dose of food poison. Thank you to Harry, Tom, Joshua and Eric for taking your time to make me and others aware of this deplorable situation. A few months after the review above we went back for some dairy products and passed the meat counter mentioned above. The butcher behind the meat counter waved us a friendly 'Hello' offering his help. I mentioned the bad experience we had on our previous visit, but not demanding any replacement or refund. He apologised profusely and without any further ado presented us with some replacement beefsteaks (in excess of our last purchase) guaranteed to be freshly cut. This proved to be true. In all fairness I feel that I have to mention this very positive experience. ... you make your own decision!
